West Palm Beach Rental market is rapidly increasing in price, pricing the lower middle class and middle class out of the market. From January 2014-May of 2014 the average rents for a 2 Bedroom 2 Bathroom Townhouse in the Village Blvd area located in West Palm Beach were starting at 1100.00. Since June of 2014 the average rental cost has increased for the same properties starting at 1300.00. What most people do not realize is the upfront costs when they do find a place to rent. Most are getting out of a lease from last year or before where landlords were a lot more lenient and willing to forgo the last months rent. Not anymore, landlords are requiring first, last and security with no exceptions! There are also plenty of upfront fees that are associated with renting. First off there is a rental application fee that one has to fill out that roughly runs 100.00-200.00 (non-refundable) per person over 18 years old.
